Pentecostalism proper began in the 19th-century Revivalist movement, which spawned, among others, the sect of one Charles Parham in Topeka, Kansas, in the year 1900. He is the incarnation of the fullness of God. Basically their “theology” is based upon almost solely upon personal or communal “experience” with little connection to sound biblical exegesis or historical moorings. Sadly, most of the scholars of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movement make appeals to these sorts of ongoing "miracles" as proof that their continuationist exegesis of Scripture is confirmed in experience, which could not be further from the truth.
